at Battleship Park, Wilmington, NC

 

Featured along with good bluegrass and bluegrass gospel will be: local cuisine,  arts and crafts, storytelling, clogging and square dancing.  Gates will open on Saturday at 10am and close at 8:00pm. Did you know that the proceeds from this festival are used to fund a number of important cultural initiatives?   These include theatrical productions of the Thalian Association, the Official Community Theater of North Carolina.  Your patronage will also help area children, since funds raised here will help fund TACT, the Thalian Association Children's Theater.    BROCHURE

Rivers, creeks and streams are such thematic influences in bluegrass music.  That's why we chose to celebrate our bluegrass roots on the banks of the Cape Fear River!

Rhonda Vincent will be headlining this year's Southern Coastal Bluegrass Festival, performing with her band, Rhonda Vincent & the Rage.  John Fonvielle of Wilmington's The Beat magazine interviewed Vincent about her roots, the Rage and her role in the revival of Bluegrass: Rhonda Vincent: New Queen of Bluegrass.
